Internet is a buzz with speculations on the next-generation Samsung Galaxy S smartphone. According to reports, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 will be water and dust-resistant.
The report, which comes courtesy Korean language ET News, also claims that the company is working on a dust and water-proof version of Galaxy Note 3, likely to be calledGalaxy Note 3 Active.
With these, Samsung would be treading the path of Sony which has several water- and dust-proof devices.
Earlier this year, Samsung launched several variants of the Galaxy S4, including Galaxy S4 Active. Samsung Galaxy S4 is a dust- and water- resistant version of Galaxy S4. Apart from this, the company also launched Galaxy S4 Zoom with an upgraded camera and Galaxy S4 Mini sporting a smaller display and size.
Reports also suggest that Galaxy S5 will sport a premium metal design instead of the regular plastic exterior. The company recently deviated from its plastic finish design for a faux leather back cover in Glaxy Note 3.
According to a report by Patent Bolt, Samsung has developed a new 13MP sensor that could be featured in Galaxy S5 and Glaxy Note 4. The sensor can reportedly capture images eight times brighter than those captured by the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4. The sensor is also said to include improved anti-shake functionality and will be more power friendly.
