Outlook app for the Android updated

The official Outlook app for the Android platform gets unlimited sync of email history, eight new colours and manage to vacation replies.

Microsoft has pushed an update for its Outlook application with a bunch of new features for the Google Android platform. The updated Microsoft Outlook app comes with new colours to customise the user interface along with better search functionality.

The Outlook app has got server side search facility as well to access all possible emails apart from those synced to the smartphone. The app allows unlimited sync for full off-line access to get the email history. Also, users can now send emails from the Outlook.com aliases easily.

The app allows managing the vacation replies and even traditional Chinese language support.

The most important, or at least one of the major ones, is the option to download all mail. This new feature was added at the users’ request and offers them more choices for syncing their mail. 

According to Microsoft, the application now features an option to allow users to download all their messages regardless of how old they are. 

The server-side search is another important new feature that Microsoft decided to add. It provides Outlook.com users with the option to search through all of their email, even if the messages aren't on the phone. 

This feature has been especially introduced for those who don’t carry the whole mail in their phone, so they now have the option to search Outlook.com to find their messages.
With the latest version of Outlook.com, Android users benefit from unlimited sync of all email history for full off-line access, along with the ability to set and manage vacation replies. With the latter, you will be able to choose to send the reply to everyone, or limit it to the people in the contact list. 

Moreover, this update adds aliases, which means that you can now send emails from Outlook.com aliases. Eight new colors to customize the application’s interface and traditional Chinese language support have been included in this update as well.

Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.2 and up.
