Apple to release the iOS 7 software update on 18 September

Apple will release the iOS 7 software update for the iPhone 4, iPad 2, iPad Mini and iPod Touch 5th Generation.


Apple formally announced the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5S smartphones at a special event at its headquarters at Cupertino, USA. Along with that, Apple also announced that the new design, look and features loaded iOS 7 software update will be rolled out on this September 18. Sporting a totally new look, top Apple executives push the iOS 7 software update as the new foundation for the upcoming generation of iOS devices. The Apple iOS 7 software update will be supported by iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5S, iPad Mini, iPod Touch 5th Generation, iPad 2 and iPad Retina.
Apple touts a completely redesigned user interface in the iOS 7 software update and it flaunts over 200 new features. At the core level, the iOS 7 brings an advanced 64-bit support with 64-bit kernel, libraries and drivers that will be compatible with the iPhone 5S. However, one must note that the Apple's intelligent digital assistant Siri's features will not be available in all regions.

The iOS 7 software update brings vibrant colours and also the new Control Center which can be opened with a single swipe from the bottom. Control Center is one stop location for all basic and important controls for your device. The lock screen will now be able to support the Notification Center to see all the updates. It has a 'Today' feature that shows the summary of the day.
Apple iOS 7 has a new AirDrop feature to quickly sharing content like photos, videos, contacts and others with friends nearby. Its Camera app offers real-time filters and photo effects, square camera shot option, and quick switching between camera modes. New Photos app will introduce Moments that automatically organise photos and videos based on time and location.
Safari web browser offers full screen web browsing while Siri will support new male as well as female voices along with several listings based features limited only to select regions. The free iTunes Radio service streaming 200 stations through the iTunes Store will be made available to the users.
Apple iOS 7 updated will be pushed over the air to the respective devices on September 18.
