Samsung has quietly pulled the covers off its new Galaxy Trend Lite and Galaxy Fame Lite for the Netherlands. These are trimmed down versions of the already low-cost Galaxy Trend and Galaxy Fame respectively, which means they would be really basic and entry-level. However, there is no word on the pricing of the devices or their availability in other markets.

Take a quick look at some of its specs:
- 4-inch TFT capacitive display with 480 x 800 pixels of resolution
- 3 megapixel rear camera
- 4GB in-built storage, expandable up to 64GB via microSD card

The Galaxy Fame Lite is a single SIM device unlike the original Fame, but sports a similar screen size of 3.5-inches. It is powered by a slower 850MHz processor coupled with 512MB RAM. The Fame Lite gets the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean flavour and is kept alive by a mediocre 1300 mAh battery. Samsung has pulled out the front-facing camera and NFC, while the rear camera has been downgraded to 3 megapixels.
Here’s a quick look at the specifications of the Fame Lite:
- 3.5-inch HVGA display with 320 x 480 pixels of resolution
- 3-megapixel auto focus camera
- 4GB of internal storage, expandable by up to 32GB via microSD card
