Nexus 5 variant options specs leaked

As the Nexus 5 is has just 190 days to go for it release and the rumours are intensifying. Today we saw it briefly in the Google Play store and now information has surfaced detailing the memory and battery capacity of the upcoming pureblood Android.
According to unofficial sources the Nexus 5 will come with either 16 GB or 32 GB of built-in, non-expandable, storage. The addition of the bigger 32 GB variant is great news and seems to confirm Google (and LG) won't be opting for an 8 GB model this year.

Then there's the battery, which doesn't ring as high on the hype meter as the memory options. The next Nexus smartphone is said to bring a 2,300 mAh battery, which given the rumors of a 5" display and latest Snapdragon 800 processor doesn't really sound too exciting. Previous rumors of the 32GB version packing a larger 3,000 mAh juice pack have unfortunately turned out to be unfounded.
Finally said sources point to a release before the end of October, however they don't specify if that refers to a global release or just to select markets in a first wave.

Apple confirms October 22nd event, Somethings Big On the Way

The rumors, they are true. Apple's ready to take the wraps off of something big next week, just in time to seriously impact our collective holiday spending -- and just a little more than a month after that big iPhone event. In fact, the invite alludes to that recent event by noting that the company still has "a lot to cover." And just like the last invite, there's more than enough color here to go around, so take that as you will. As ever, there's no word on precisely what'll be announced, but rumor is that the iPad, iPad mini and MacBook Pro lines are set for refreshes. And the recent release of the OS X Gold Master hints at a bit more information on the desktop operating system side of things.

The new phablet measures 164.5x82.5x10.29mm and weighs 217 grams. The HTC One Max follows the same design as that of company's flagship smartphone, the HTC One.
The all new phablet from HTC features the long-rumoured fingerprint scanner at the back which according to Engadget lets users log-in with a swipe of fingertip. The HTC One Max is now the second device launched this year to come with a fingerprint scanner feature after the Apple iPhone 5s.

HTC One Max release date and price: where can I get it?

The HTC One has been doing some serious overtime in the gym, and the result is the HTC One Max, which has just been announced with its 5.9-inch, full HD display.

HTC One Max release date and price: where can I get it?
On the inside is a 1.7Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB of RAM, while you'll be able to pick up the handset with either 16GB or 32GB of internal storage. But the real headline feature is the fingerprint scanner, which is on the back of the device instead of the front.
Sounds good, but when can we grab one? Currently HTC is saying it will be available globally mid to the end of October, but luckily Vodafone has given us a better idea of a One Max release date, telling us it'll be "stocked from later this week."
Nonetheless, it means it will be hitting us almost straight away. The cost of the handset is currently undisclosed but previous rumours have suggested the phone will come at a SIM-free price of $800 (about £500, AU$845).
Vodafone
First out the gates to confirm that it will be ranging the HTC One Max is Vodafone - why's that? Well it's managed to snaffle itself an exclusive deal with HTC from launch, meaning the big Red will be the only place to pick it up early doors.
In terms of a HTC One Max release date a Vodafone spokesperson has confirmed to TechRadar that it will be "stocked from later this week", with the exclusive deal lasting "for a couple of weeks after that."
There's no sign of a SIM-free price for the One Max just yet, but if you fancy picking it up on a 24 month, 4G contract then you'll need to shell out £49 up front and be prepared to part with £47 every month.
That'll give you unlimited texts and minutes along with 2GB of data each month, plus you get the choice of Spotify Premium or Sky Sports Mobile TV free for a year - sign up before the end of October and you'll see the data allowance doubled to 4GB.
O2
Unsurprisingly then O2 has confirmed that it won't be stocking the HTC One Max, but considering Vodafone has the phone exclusively there really was only one answer here.
And the rest
We're still chasing the other networks (EE and Three) and major high street retailers (Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U) hard for news on whether they'll be stocking the HTC One Max, and at what cost.
It's almost certain that Three and EE will also confirm that they are not stocking the One Max, thanks to Vodafone's exclusive deal, but there's always a chance they may confirm they'll be getting it at a later date.
We'll be constantly updating this article with all the latest as and when we get it.

LG's G-Flex images emerge, phone to launch next month

LG's curved smartphone, the G-Flex, get its glamor shots in. We have obtained renderings of the G-Flex, which people familiar with the phone's launch plans confirmed would be launching some time next month.
There's been a lot of buzz over flexible displays and curved smartphones. CNET previously reported on the G-Flex, and the latest images only confirm LG's curved smartphone. The G-Flex follows Samsung Electronics' own Galaxy Round, a smartphone it unveiled last week. But while the Galaxy Round is bent on its vertical access, the G-Flex is curved at its horizontal access, the thinking that it would better cup your face.
While there's been a lot of talk about flexible displays, it's important to note that neither the Galaxy Round or G-Flex will be able bend or flex. Both phones are permanently stuck in their curved positions.
LG is poised to have a busy few weeks, with the Nexus 5 widely expected to launch later this month. LG was responsible for the hit Nexus 4 last year, and is working on the Nexus 5 as well. The company has also been pushing its flagship G2 smartphone as well.
Here are more renderings of the G-Flex:

Facebook is paying between $150 million and $200 million, the Calcalist financial news website said, making it the social media company's biggest acquisition in Israel.

The company, founded three years ago, said that once the transaction closes, Onavo's mobile utility application - which helps people cut mobile phone costs through more efficient use of data - will run as a standalone brand.
Facebook is paying between $150 million and $200 million, the Calcalist financial news website said, making it the social media company's biggest acquisition in Israel. Onavo has raised $13 million in venture capital, according to Calcalist. Its investors are Sequoia Capital, Magma Venture Partners, Horizons Ventures and Motorola Mobility Ventures.

Onavo will keep its Israeli offices, making this the first time Facebook will run a research and development centre in Israel, according to the Haaretz news website. When Facebook acquired Snaptu and Face.com, it transferred the employees to its own offices in California, where Onavo already has offices
